Job summary

Nationwide Platforms, based in Leeds, is seeking a Workshop Service Engineer to join our busy depot team. The role involves inspecting, repairing and maintaining powered access machines such as booms and scissor lifts, with full training provided and opportunities to develop hands-on electrical/mechanical skills.

The successful candidate will have a relevant engineering maintenance qualification (NVQ3 or equivalent) and experience in diesel engineering, hydraulics, auto electrics, and

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering maintenance field.
• Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
• Mature outlook with ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Understanding the importance of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Service Engineer in the effective running of the Depot workshop within the region.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot, ensuring conformity with manufacturer’s specification and company policy; notify managers of defects.
• Repair machines at depot or on site to ensure conformance with manufacturer’s specifications and company policy.
• Complete planned maintenance activities and maintain fleet appearance to corporate standards.
• Handover machines to customers and instruct safe operation per company procedures; provide high standards of customer care.
