Job summary

Driver Hire Grangemouth is seeking a General Labourer / Workshop Operative in Grangemouth for a Monday–Friday dayshift. The role is a temporary position with a view to permanent after 10 weeks, offering hands-on work and opportunities to learn new skills and progress within the business.

You will support the workshop, equipment preparation and maintenance, facility upkeep and general labouring duties. Pay is £13.75/hour (+ holiday pay accrued) or £15.41/hour including advanced holiday pay.

Responsibilities

• General workshop labouring and assisting with day-to-day operations.

• Assisting with equipment servicing and routine checks.
• Loading/unloading equipment safely; forklift checks and refuelling.
• General housekeeping and facility maintenance.
• Assisting with excavator and equipment set-up; keeping vehicles clean.
• Van driving and occasional deliveries/collections when required.

• General workshop labouring and assisting with day-to-day operations
• Preparing, cleaning and pressure washing equipment
• Assisting with equipment servicing and routine checks
• Loading and unloading equipment safely
• Forklift checks and refuelling
• General housekeeping, painting and facility maintenance
• Assisting with excavator and equipment set-up
• Keeping vehicles and equipment clean and well maintained
• Van driving and occasional equipment deliveries/collections when required
• Carrying out other duties required by the business
