Job summary

Veolia UK is seeking a workshop technician supervisor to lead on-site maintenance operations at our Morden site. You will promote safety, manage a team of workshop technicians and contractors, and ensure compliance with risk, asset availability and service levels.

You will monitor performance, conduct evaluations and identify training needs while coordinating with customers and budget planning for CAPEX. A strong technical background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Essential: City & Guilds, or HGV NVQ level 3 vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Essential: LGV Category C or C+E Vocational Licence Holder.
• Essential: Good communication skills.
• Essential: Ability to work under pressure, seek solutions, and flexible across tasks.
• Essential: IT skills.
• Essential: MOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture in the team. Lead by example, encourage reporting and feedback on incidents and events.
• Delivery of Key Performance Indicators including Risk and Assurance, Fleet Compliance and Service Levels.
• Management of contractors on site including issue of permits with company procedure.
• Manage a team of workshop technicians and support staff.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify training needs and facilitate skill development opportunities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for key customers.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor timely delivery of products and services.
• Maintain high standards of quality to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure targets for Risk and Assurance, asset availability, reliability and costs are met.
