Group 1 Automotive's Volkswagen Van Centre Chelmsford is looking for a Workshop Manager to lead the day-to-day workshop operations and deliver outstanding customer service within a busy aftersales team.

You will oversee technicians, hit daily targets, support service managers, and strive for profits and customer retention in a fast-paced main dealer environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar workshop/aftersales role within automotive retail.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage tasks to tight deadlines.

Overview

Workshop Manager - Volkswagen Van Centre Chelmsford. You will be a key part of the aftersales department, delivering excellent customer service and managing workshop operations. As part of a successful, global automotive group, you can broaden your experience across sites and brands and pursue development with the right support.

What you'll do

• Responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop.
• Ensure service and repair technicians achieve their daily targets.
• Assist the service managers in delivering the best possible service to customers.
• Achieve agreed profits and retention levels.

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Motor Industry experience in a similar role is essential.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work to timescales effectively.
• Keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering great customer service.
• Experience in a main dealer environment; strong industry knowledge; ability to work under pressure.
