Job summary

Group 1 Automotive's Mercedes-Benz Bishop's Stortford location is seeking a Workshop Controller to oversee the daily workshop operations and drive high standards of customer service. You will manage technicians to meet daily targets and support service managers in delivering excellent service to customers.

The role demands experience in the motor industry, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in a main dealer environment.
• Motor Industry experience in a similar role is essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Ability to work to timescales effectively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day running of the workshop.
• Ensure service and repair technicians achieve their daily targets.
• Assist service managers in ensuring the department provides the best possible service to customers.
• Achieve agreed profits and retention levels.
