Job summary

Speedy Hire in the United Kingdom is seeking a Workshop Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team and ensure assets are ready for customer hire while KPIs are met.

You will drive health & safety compliance and regulatory training, with hands-on engineering input when required, and play a key role in delivering the ESG agenda and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience ideally in hire/engineering or similar.
• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background; hands-on in role when required.
• Formal engineering qualifications would be desirable.
• Good level of computer literacy.
• Sound communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to meet KPIs and ensure equipment is ready for customer hire.
• Oversee safe operation and compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental regulations; ensure statutory training is completed.
• Provide hands-on engineering input when needed to support operations.
• Collaborate with business unit to deliver ESG initiatives and continuous improvement.

What You'll Need
