The Role of the Workshop Manager

As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for managing all operations within the company's Part 145 workshops. This includes leading a team of technicians, ensuring efficient workflows, maintaining quality control, managing inventory, adhering to safety protocols, and delivering projects on time to meet customer expectations.

Key duties of the Workshop Manager role include:

• Overseeing the provision and maintenance of the workshops facility and allocating resources to carry out all component maintenance
• Ensuring compliance with MRP Part 145 requirements as the Nominated Post Holder for the Workshops
• Monitoring workshop output and performance, and identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency
• Providing guidance and training to the workshop teams to support continuous improvement
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment

The Ideal Workshop Manager

The company is seeking a candidate with demonstrable experience in aviation workshop management, including the control of aerospace components. A strong understanding of MRP Part 145 regulatory requirements is highly desirable, as is the ability to pass the MAA Nominated Post Holder interview.

In addition, the successful Workshop Manager will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Completed an engineering apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical engineering or a military equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years of aviation experience, with previous workshop management experience
• Proficient in the use of workshop equipment, machinery, and tooling
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Eligible to work and live in the UK, with the ability to obtain the necessary security clearance
