Job summary

Workvine in Hinckley, Leicestershire, is seeking a hands-on Workshop Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day running of the workshop while staying involved in repairs and diagnostics.

You will allocate jobs, plan workloads, coach technicians and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery. This permanent, full‑time role offers a stable, long‑term environment and the chance to shape workshop processes while keeping your hands on engineering.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanical engineer or equivalent trade certificate.
• Proven hands-on experience with diesel engines and diagnostics.
• Experience supervising technicians in a workshop or service env.
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills with a safety focus.
• Ability to lead while maintaining hands-on involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workshop tasks and allocate jobs.
• Carry out repairs, diagnostics and testing on diesel engines.
• Coach technicians and develop team skills.
• Ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Parts, Stores, Service and Admin teams.
