Job summary

Selwood in Nottingham is seeking a Workshop Manager to lead the workshop and a team of fitters, ensuring efficient servicing, maintenance, and repairs of the pump fleet while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will manage daily engineering workloads, schedules, and compliance with legal and company procedures, driving improvements and safeguarding safe operations in a 24/7, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience with diesel engines and diagnostics.
• Experience leading a workshop/yard team and driving productivity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring servicing, maintenance, repairs and safety standards are met.
• Lead, coach and motivate a high-performing team of fitters.
• Ensure fleet servicing schedules comply with manufacturer requirements and company policies.
• Monitor equipment reliability and drive improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Promote a strong health & safety culture across the branch.
