Job summary

Platinum-Recruitment is helping a busy engineering operation in Banbury hire a Workshop Forklift Engineer. You will service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment, with duties spanning diagnostics of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, and planned maintenance.

The role offers a competitive salary from £35,000 to £50,000 per year, plus unlimited overtime paid at 1.5x, a bonus scheme and income protection.

Qualifications

• NVQ / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or Vehicle Repair is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnosing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Conducting safety inspections and compliance checks.
• Repairing electric, diesel, and LPG forklifts.
• Completing breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Working on a variety of warehouse and industrial handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Workshop Forklift Engineer, your duties will include:
