Venatu Recruitment Group is hiring a Workshop Technician in South Yorkshire to service and repair mobile cranes and plant in a busy workshop. You will support refurbishments and carry out high-quality repairs, with opportunities for progression in a skilled team.

The role requires experience in plant/HGV/PSV maintenance, strong mechanical and hydraulic/electrical knowledge, and the ability to read schematics. A proactive, learning mindset is valued in a supportive environment.

Formación

• Background in plant, HGV, or PSV maintenance.
• Mobile crane experience is highly desirable but not essential.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics.
• Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out servicing and repairs to mobile cranes on both a commercial and warranty basis.
• Support the refurbishment of plant and crane equipment within a busy commercial workshop.
• Liaise with customers to agree required works, action points, and expected timeframes.
• Work closely with suppliers to order parts and maintain a strong and accurate parts inventory.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure all tasks are completed in priority order and to high standards.

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week + enhanced overtime rates

About the Role

We’re recruiting for a Workshop Technician on behalf of a respected commercial workshop in South Yorkshire. This Workshop Technician position is ideal for someone with experience in plant, HGV, PSV, or mobile crane maintenance who is seeking a stable, workshop-based role with strong long-term prospects. As a Workshop Technician, you’ll work on a wide range of plant and crane equipment, supporting refurbishments and carrying out high-quality repairs and servicing.
