Workshop Fitter based Nr Sandhurst, Berkshire - Workshop Plant Fitter Salary DOE Circa £35k to £40k

If you have engineering experience in the plant hire industry, now is your chance! This is a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop Fitter to join a small, friendly team based near Sandhurst.

Our client welcomes applicants who can easily commute to the Sandhurst area or are currently located in Sandhurst, Winnersh, Eversley, Finchhampstead, Crowthorne, Blackwater, Frimley, Farnborough, Woking, Wokingham, Bracknell, Bagshot, Camberley, Aldershot, Blackwater, and surrounding areas.

The Job Role of the Workshop Fitter:
  • Work within a busy workshop, maintaining and servicing a fleet of heavy plant machinery such as diggers, dumpers, rollers, and excavators.
  • Perform PDIs, servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Manage your own workload to ensure all machinery is fit for hire.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring your work area is hazard-free.
Requirements for Success as the Workshop Fitter:

You should have previous experience as a workshop plant fitter, plant engineer, forklift engineer, agricultural engineer, HGV mechanic, mechanical engineer, hydraulic engineer, electrical engineer, workshop engineer, technician, vehicle mechanic, vehicle engineer, or diesel mechanic. Knowledge of construction plant manufacturers such as JCB, CAT, Volvo, Kubota, Hitachi, and Komatsu is advantageous but not essential. Extensive experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs is required.
