Job summary

Allstaff Recruitment are seeking a Workshop Engineer in Biggleswade for a multinational engineering company. The role involves carrying out maintenance, inspections and repairs on machines, with a focus on safety and quality.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), CSCS card, a full driving licence and experience with service software. Excellent communication and mentoring of apprentices are valued. 40-hour week, permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence.
• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 3 or above.
• Demonstratable service Engineer experience particularly working on major component overhaul refurbishments.
• Industry-related training such as CSCS card.
• Previous experience with service software and interfaces.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out effective maintenance and repair work.
• Carry out routine pre-delivery inspections of new machines.
• Fit extras to machines where required - both factories approved and locally supplied.
• Perform all forms of repair and servicing to machines.
• Complete repair, overhaul and diagnosis of plant equipment.
• Maintaining clear communication with the Workshop Supervisor.
• Support and mentor engineering apprentices.
