Job summary

Ball Corporation in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service tooling and ancillary equipment, keeping the manufacturing area running smoothly. The role involves working both in the workshop and on the shop floor, supporting maintenance activities and production line upgrades.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, learn process equipment, and contribute to meeting budget targets while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in a workshop environment.
• Experience with preventative and planned maintenance on workshop/production equipment.
• Experience with compressors, boilers, water tanks, rollers, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, pinchains, shafts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant services in safe working condition (compressors, boilers, water towers).
• Refurbish, prepare and repair plant spares and equipment (rollers, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, pinchains, shafts).
• Assist with plant breakdowns and line conversions.
• Perform engineering project work within the Plant.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Policy and EMS and maintain all registers and reports.
• Support maintenance and conversion days, holiday shutdowns, etc.
• Set up brand new production lines; work in both workshop and shop floor environments.
