Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking a Workshop Engineer in Burton Latimer to maintain, repair and service forklift trucks, MHE and plant equipment. You will work with the workshop team to keep the fleet in top condition and support PDIs and parts requests.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety, with a full-time schedule 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, within a family‑run materials handling environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical skills and experience with maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and service forklift trucks, MHE and plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults and replace/repair defective parts.
• Request parts through the parts department.
• Support upkeep of the fleet, including PDIs.
• Follow service procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Work with the service team to keep the fleet running smoothly.
