Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting a Workshop Engineer (Agriculture) in Daventry, Northamptonshire. You will maintain and repair garden, groundcare and agricultural machinery, ensuring peak performance for customers.

The role is Monday to Friday with a 08:00–16:30/17:00 schedule, offering a salary of £32,000–£38,000 DOE on a full-time, permanent basis. Ongoing manufacturer training and career progression are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on agricultural or groundcare machinery.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Good mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs.
  • Servicing and maintaining garden and groundcare equipment.
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Completing job cards and maintaining accurate service records.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to manufacturer standards.
  • Working closely with the Service Manager to meet workshop targets and customer expectations.
  • Providing a high level of customer service and technical support when required.

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30/17:00

The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of garden, groundcare, and agricultural machinery, ensuring equipment is returned to customers operating at peak performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs

About You

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Previous experience working on agricultural, groundcare, plant, construction, horticultural, or similar machinery
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
  • Good mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A full UK driving licence
