Job summary

Rise Technical is partnering with a well-established equipment manufacturer in Andover to recruit a Workshop Manager. You will lead the day-to-day running of a busy aftersales service workshop, combining hands-on repair work with team leadership in a Monday–Friday, site-based role.

The role involves servicing, repairing and refurbishing specialist machinery, while ensuring health & safety, QC inspections and accurate workshop records are maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in the service & maintenance of agricultural, REME, plant or similar machinery.
• Strong leadership/people management skills.
• Willingness to work hands-on in a workshop environment.
• Knowledge of health & safety and workshop QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of a busy aftersales service workshop.
• Perform repairs, servicing and refurbishment of machinery; supervise a small team.
• Maintain workshop records and conduct QC/PDI inspections.
• Uphold health and safety standards and drive continuous improvement.

In this role you will own the day-to-day running of a busy aftersales service workshop, where you will be delivering repairs and servicing, alongside the refurbishment of traded-in, used machines. This is a hands-on role: you'll be on the tools alongside the team as much as managing them.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the service & maintenance of agricultural, REME, construction, plant (or similar) machinery & also be able to motivate and lead a small, passionate & high performing team.

The Role:

• Workshop Manager - Site based in Andover
• Hands on role + workshop operations duties & supervision of a small team
• Service, Maintenance, repair, diagnostics & refurbishment of specialist machinery

The Person:

• Mechanical service & maintenance background with leadership / managerial experience in a similar role
• Transferable industries, REME, Plant, Construction, agricultural, mobile, service, and heavy lifting machinery / equipment etc.
