About The Role

We are currently looking for a Workshop Fitter to join our Liverpool Branch. You will be responsible for carrying out diesel engine and pump maintenance, performing repairs, servicing, or preventative maintenance on equipment as directed by the Manager to the standards and timescales required.

For this role, you need to have your own standard tools; any specialised tools will be provided. Due to the branch location, you will need your own transport to get to and from the branch, but travel for work is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out work in compliance with recommended manufacturers’ procedures, considering health and safety, and the environment.
  • Communicate accurately with your supervisor and colleagues regarding job requirements such as cost, downtime, and cause identification.
  • Check all equipment for damages and notify the Branch Manager of any issues.
  • Propose modifications and improvements to machinery, equipment, or processes.
  • Complete necessary administration and paperwork accurately and submit on time.

This list is not exhaustive, and other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
  • Full driving license (preferred)
  • Willingness to grow with the role and undertake further training
