A leading company in the marine and environmental services sector is seeking a Workshop Engineer to assist in maintaining vessels and shore-based assets. The ideal candidate will have a technical apprenticeship background, experience in a fabrication workshop, and familiarity with health and safety processes. You will support maintenance activities, oversee workshop equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Workshop Engineer
The role is to assist the Workshop Manager and Technical Manager to provide effective maintenance of all vessels, shore-based assets and fuelling systems within the specific division, enabling their safe operation.
Principal Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must have undertaken a recognised technical apprenticeship or spent time within a busy fabrication/manufacturing workshop environment. They will be familiar with company HSEQ processes, safety management systems and ISO accreditation audits. An understanding of operations in a marine setting would be beneficial.
