Job summary

TalentTech Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Workshop Engineer for a Gloucestershire site based in Tewkesbury. The role involves fault-finding on electrical and battery-operated floor cleaning equipment, and performing routine maintenance within an established engineering team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Workshop-based role in Tewkesbury within an established team.
• Conduct routine maintenance and in-depth repairs on floor-cleaning systems.
• Fault finding on electrical and battery-operated machinery.
• Provide product training when required.
• Work with a multiskilled skillset to support service goals.
• Adhere to shift pattern: 08:00–16:30 Mon–Thu, 08:00–15:30 Fri.

Eager to use your engineering and technical skills?Our client is on the search for an energetic and driven technician or engineer with some electrical fault-finding experience looking for a site-based role.

Your Role as a Workshop Engineer:

• Workshop based in Tewkesbury.
• Joining an existing, established team.
• Conducting routine maintenance and in-depth repairs on systems returned from the field.
• Fault finding on electrical and battery-operated floor cleaning machinery.
• Product training provided but you need a multiskilled understanding.
• Typically working 08:00 - 16:30 Mon - Thu, 08:00 - 15:30 Fri.

Ideal Background for the Workshop Engineer Position:

• Able to fault find using a multimeter.
• Electrical bias with a mechanical appreciation.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn and train.
• Physically fit and able as role involves manual handling of large pieces of kit
• A team player.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK as no sponsorship is provided.
• Able and willing to commute daily to Tewkesbury

• Joining a team of 9 existing engineers.

The Package for the Workshop Engineer:

• £30,000 - £35,000 basic salary depending on experience.
• 25% Overtime (uncapped).
• 12 month initial contract, looking likely to go permanent after 12 months.

• 28 days holiday including statutory bank holidays.
