Job summary

Pioneer Selection - Manufacturing & Industry Recruitment Specialists in Bolton is seeking a Workshop Engineer for a market-leading materials handling business. You will service and repair forklifts, mobile plant and industrial vehicles in a daytime workshop.

The role requires hands-on workshop experience with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, plus a recognised engineering qualification. Monday–Friday with 40 or 45 hours, plus training and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience in a workshop or industrial engineering environment.
• Experience maintaining Forklift Trucks, Mobile Plant Machinery, HGVs or industrial vehicles.
• Proficiency in Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulic disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair forklifts, mobile plant and industrial vehicles in the workshop.
• Maintain workshop equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Support continuous improvement and training opportunities within the team.

Job Title - Workshop Engineer

Location - Bolton, Greater Manchester

Salary: £30,000 - £42,500 (Dependant on Hours)

Shift: Monday to Friday - Days Shift. (40 hour or 45 hour week option)

Job Role:

Step into a Workshop Engineer role with a market-leading material handling business in Bolton, working Monday–Friday days with a 40 or 45-hour week option. You'll be hands-on in the workshop, servicing and repairing forklifts, mobile plant and industrial vehicles, using your mechanical/electrical/hydraulic know-how—backed by strong training, development and overtime opportunities.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of Workshop Engineer:

• Hands-on engineering experience in a workshop or industrial engineering environment.

Requirements of Workshop Engineer:

• Maintenance experience of Forklift Trucks or Mobile Plant Machinery or HGV's or industrial Vehicles.
• Have hands-on experience in the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics.
• Recognised Engineering Qualification.

Desirable Requirements of Workshop Engineer.

• Engineering qualification of minimum Level 3.
