PS Ltd in Ripley is seeking a motivated Workshop Controller focused on motorhomes to join our service team. You will oversee daily workshop operations, coordinate repairs, and ensure timely completion with a strong emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction.

This hands-on role requires practical mechanical knowledge and leadership to drive efficiency and safe, compliant service tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with motorhomes or large vehicles.
• Hands-on proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with workshop management systems is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and communication skills.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workshop activities, ensuring repair and maintenance jobs are scheduled efficiently and completed on time.
• Act as the primary point of contact between technicians, customers, and management to facilitate clear communication and seamless workflow.
• Inspect motorhomes thoroughly to diagnose issues and assign tasks to technicians.
• Oversee use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring safety protocols are followed and equipment is maintained.
• Monitor progress on all jobs and provide updates to customers, managing expectations.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, quality control procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service history.

PS Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Workshop Controller specializing in Motorhomes to join the dynamic service team we are looking after in Ripley.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the smooth operation of the workshop, coordinate repairs and maintenance, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This will be a very hands on role.

Your mechanical knowledge and hands on skills will drive efficiency, quality workmanship, and timely completion of all service tasks.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering top-tier motorhome servicing.

• 8am-4.30pm
• up to £42k

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workshop activities, ensuring all repair and maintenance jobs are scheduled efficiently and completed on time.
• Act as the primary point of contact between technicians, customers, and management to facilitate clear communication and seamless workflow.
• Inspect motorhomes thoroughly using your mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues accurately and assign appropriate tasks to technicians.
• Oversee the use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring safety protocols are followed and equipment is maintained properly.
• Monitor progress on all jobs, providing updates to customers and managing expectations effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, quality control procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service history for each vehicle to support warranty claims and future servicing needs.

Experience

• Proven experience working with motorhomes or similar large vehicles with strong mechanical knowledge.
• Hands-on proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Familiarity with workshop management systems or similar software is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues accurately and communicate technical information clearly.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in an automotive or motorhome workshop environment is preferred but not mandatory.
