Job Description

Our client is a car prestige dealership looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller to join one of their busy sites.

Workshop Controller Role:

You will manage a busy and thriving workshop on a daily basis, overseeing Technicians. This position is responsible for all aspects of workshop daily management, including issuing work to technicians, tooling & equipment, and Health & Safety.

Workshop Controller – Key responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for issuing work, considering workload and customer commitments as coordinated with the reception team.
• Ensure workshop processes adhere to guidelines for retail, internal, and warranty procedures.
• Ensure all work is issued efficiently.
• Oversee issuing and progressing of sales department preparation work.
• Provide updates on work progress, highlighting potential issues and taking preventative measures to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.

Workshop Controller – Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Service Manager is preferred.
• Confident with a strong understanding of workshop processes and team management.
• Full driving license; notify of any endorsements.
• IT literacy; Kerridge knowledge is advantageous.
• Good numerical and administrative skills with attention to detail to ensure KPI accuracy.
