Job summary

Motofix Accident Repair Centres is seeking a Workshop Controller in Northampton to oversee efficient bodyshop operations and deliver high-quality repairs with excellent customer service. The role focuses on planning workflows, maximizing production team performance, and maintaining repair standards in line with brand expectations.

You will collaborate with Vehicle Damage Assessors and other teams to achieve optimum financial and operational results while coaching staff for continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing bodyshop production teams and ensuring repairs are to high standards.
  • Knowledge of modern repair methods and workflow planning.
  • IMI qualifications preferred and drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organise workflows to optimise production efficiency.
  • Maximise utilisation and performance of the production team.
  • Conduct quality inspections to uphold repair standards.
  • Update customers on repair methods, progress and ETA.
  • Collaborate with Vehicle Damage Assessors to improve sales and operations.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews to support improvement.

Workshop Controller – Northampton NN5 | 45 hrs per week | £45,000-£50,000 per annum

About the Role

As a Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the bodyshop, maintaining high standards of repair quality, and delivering excellent customer service. Your role will involve:

  • Planning and organising workflows to optimise production efficiency.
  • Maximising the utilisation and performance of the production team.
  • Conducting quality inspections to uphold repair standards.
  • Updating customers on repair methods, progress, and estimated completion dates.
  • Collaborating with Vehicle Damage Assessors to achieve optimum sales and operational performance.
  • Conducting staff performance reviews to support continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with the Vehicle Damage Assessment and Parts Teams, you will drive customer excellence and contribute to strong financial performance.

Your expertise in repair methods and workflow planning has played a key role in your career growth. You take a collaborative approach, ensuring repairs are completed right the first time while continuously learning and staying ahead of industry advancements.
