As we expand our operations, we're looking for a confident and experienced Workshop Controller to join our Leeds team, driving the daily performance of our HGV workshop to the highest standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Overseeing and managing the daily operations of a busy HGV workshop.
- Allocating work efficiently to technicians based on workload and skills.
- Monitoring job progress and ensuring completion within agreed timescales.
- Liaising directly with service advisors and customers, providing updates, timelines, and accurate estimates.
- Maintaining compliance with all safety standards and DVSA regulations.
- Supporting technician development and ensuring training needs are met.
- Assisting with diagnostics and problem solving for complex vehicle repairs.
- Managing parts ordering and inventory with support from the parts department.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, or in a supervisory role within an HGV/commercial vehicle environment.
- Sound technical knowledge of HGV repairs and diagnostics.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- UK Driving Licence (HGV licence is a plus).
- Experience with workshop management systems and diagnostic tools is a bonus.
Location: Steadplan Leeds, West Yorkshire
Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, on-site
