Job summary

Halfords National Tyres and Autocare in Dundee is seeking an Assistant Manager to work alongside the Centre Manager, balancing workshop duties with sales and customer service to drive profitability. You will bring hands-on mechanical or management experience, lead technicians, coach colleagues, and ensure a safe, efficient workshop while delivering an excellent customer journey.

This role offers a base salary of £35,000 with an uncapped bonus scheme averaging £6,000 per year, and on-target

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management and leadership.
• Experience in coaching, training, and developing colleagues in the moment.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance processes.

• Assist the Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service.
• Lead workshop team and drive profitability.
• Provide hands-on support in the workshop with technicians.
