Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Works Manager for the Severn Trent Water Framework, based in Warton, Tamworth. The role oversees 18‑month delivery on a £12m programme, with 45 hours per week and flexibility on hours.

You will coordinate civil, mechanical and electrical works, liaise between site teams, subcontractors and senior management to ensure quality, safety and on‑time delivery. Responsibilities include planning site works, leading safety, managing subcontractors, maintaining client relationships

Qualifications

HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management.
Demonstrable knowledge of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives and subcontractors.
CSCS Gold Supervisors or Black Managers or equivalent CSCS card; SMSTS and TWS qualifications; First Aider and Fire Marshal certifications.

Responsibilities

Support the Site Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver site works safely, on time and cost‑efficiently in accordance with project requirements.
Provide health and safety leadership to operational delivery teams and ensure compliance with project documentation and legislation.
Manage and supervise subcontractors and assigned resources to maintain quality standards and programme delivery.
Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to protect and enhance Kier's reputation.
Support the planning of works methodology and ensure timely ordering and delivery of plant and equipment.
