Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Works Manager for the Severn Trent Water Framework based in Warton, Tamworth, to oversee on-site operations on an £12m framework, delivering civil, mechanical and electrical works safely and to programme.

You will lead site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders, ensure compliance with health and safety, quality standards and project documentation, and support planning and procurement of plant and equipment across the 18-month programme.

Qualifications

• Holds an HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management.
• Demonstrable knowledge of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors within regulated sectors.
• Holds a Gold Supervisors CSCS card.
• Completed SMSTS and Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) qualifications.
• Holds First Aider and Fire Marshall certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Site Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver site works safely, on time, and cost‑efficiently in accordance with project requirements
• Providing health and safety leadership to operational delivery teams and ensuring compliance with all project documentation and legislation
• Managing and supervising subcontractors and assigned resources to maintain quality standards and programme delivery
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to protect and enhance the company's reputation
• Supporting the planning of works methodology and ensuring timely ordering and delivery of plant and equipment
