Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Lifestyle Coach to support staff health and wellbeing across the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ICS. You will deliver one-to-one coaching, promote lifestyle changes and connect employees with community and digital support services.

Travel between work locations is expected, with regular supervision and opportunities for professional development within a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a healthcare, coaching qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
• English and Maths GCSE grade A-C or equivalent.
• Counselling qualification.
• Personalised Care Institute Level 2 Health Coaching Qualification.
• Qualified/certificate in Motivational Interviewing or Behaviour Change Health Literacy Training.
• Qualified/certificate in Psychological First Aid.
• RSPH Level 2 award in Improving the Public's Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one lifestyle coaching sessions with employees to identify needs, set SMART goals and support employees to implement and achieve personalised health and wellbeing objectives.
• Support employees to develop knowledge, skills and confidence to manage their health and wellbeing using evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing.
• Increase access to community and digital support for wellbeing, including diet, physical activity and weight management, safe activities and personal coaching.
• Coach and motivate employees through multiple sessions to identify needs and help them attain personally important goals.
• Attend networking opportunities and training to stay up to date with health and wellbeing updates.
