Job summary

CDS Group Services Ltd is seeking a Working Foreman with a carpentry background for shopfitting projects. The role is based near Hertford and requires commuting within a reasonable distance from there, with a 6-week assignment for the right candidate.

You will oversee night shifts (7pm–6am) and ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery, in line with CDS's vision, mission and values. The successful candidate will have 5+ years in the industry, hold a CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid, Fire Marshal

Qualifications

• CSCS Card and construction industry credentials required.
• SMSTS, First Aid, Fire Marshal responsibilities.
• Face Fit Test and RPE awareness.
• Minimum 5 years industry experience in carpentry.
• Willing to travel and have a vehicle/ driving licence.
• Excellent people skills and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations for shopfitting projects with a carpentry focus.
• Ensure time, cost, quality, health and safety standards are met on site.
• Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to deliver projects.
• Travel to sites as required and work night shifts when scheduled.

CDS Group Services Ltd is a £60m nationwide main contractor, shopfitter and manufacturer based in Romsey.

We welcome applicants who are driven and have excellent people skills.

We are currently looking to recruit a Working Foreman who is experienced in shopfitting and comes from a carpentry background.

The Working Foreman must be based in or within a commutable distance of Hertford.

There will be 6 weeks work for the right Working Foreman.

The Experience required of the Working Foreman:

• CSCS Card
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• Fire Marshal
• Face Fit Test & RPE
• At least 5 years industry experience
• Must have good carpentry skills & knowledge
• Must be willing to travel, must have a vehicle & driving licence

Schedule:

• Nights
• 7pm - 6am
