Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking an Assistant Workforce Planning Manager/Resources Manager to support the deployment and management of workforce across projects nationwide. You will capture demand, allocate resources and ensure the right people are deployed to the right projects at the right time from Derby to national sites.

Candidates near Derby will take precedence and you will work closely with operational, recruitment and project teams to maintain an accurate view of current and future workforce

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce/resource planning within power, utilities, construction or infrastructure.
• Strong planning, coordination and organisational skills.
• Experience managing changing priorities across multiple projects or locations.
• Confident working with operational teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong Microsoft Office and data management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to changing resource requirements.

Responsibilities

• Capture and maintain accurate workforce demand across multiple projects.
• Allocate resources across delivery teams and projects in line with operational priorities.
• Support day-to-day workforce management, mobilisation and movement of staff and operatives.
• Monitor workforce capacity against current and future project requirements.
• Liaise with project teams to understand upcoming resource requirements and changes in demand.
• Work closely with recruitment to identify workforce gaps and support recruitment requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and labour suppliers ahead of mobilisation.
• Track changes to workforce requests and maintain accurate planning information.
• Produce workforce reports covering demand, capacity, deployment and future requirements.
