Role Brief

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic thinker to join as a Workforce Intelligence & Business Analyst, focusing on workforce intelligence and operational data to support a 24/7 Mental Health Service. This role is pivotal in delivering actionable insights that drive performance, efficiency, and service quality. You will support data-led growth, innovation, and provide robust intelligence on operational and clinical improvements.

Responsibilities
  1. Analyse workforce data (e.g., scheduling, staffing levels, shift patterns, caseloads) for optimal resourcing.
  2. Monitor workforce metrics and KPIs such as attrition, absenteeism, productivity, and capacity utilization.
  3. Analyse call statistics and provide insights into performance.
  4. Produce and deliver accurate service performance reports on SLAs, including trend analysis and risk identification.
  5. Collaborate with the Workforce Lead on strategic workforce planning initiatives.
  6. Create and maintain workforce planning reports and dashboards for leadership and teams.
  7. Recommend improvements to scheduling tools, workforce management systems, and processes.
  8. Work with the Head of 24/7 Mental Health Services to inform clinical operations and staffing decisions.
  9. Support business growth through data-led recommendations and forecasting.
  10. Translate complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.
  11. Identify operational and service delivery improvements via root cause analysis.
  12. Build and maintain forecasting models for demand planning and capacity optimization.
  13. Ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance, working with IT and data teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a business or workforce analyst, preferably in healthcare, mental health, or digital services.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience in workforce planning, KPI reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining complex insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
Desirable
  • Experience with EHRs, CRM platforms, or workforce scheduling tools (e.g., NICE, Kronos, Deputy).
  • Knowledge of healthcare data privacy standards like HIPAA.
  • Understanding of agile or service design methodologies in healthcare/wellbeing.
