Job summary

RSM UK Group LLP is seeking a senior Workday Build, Extend, Prism Engineer to own the design and delivery of enterprise-grade Workday solutions across the platform. You will partner with product development, functional experts and architecture teams to deliver client-centric, scalable results.

You will mentor and develop the Workday team, ensure secure, data-driven implementations, and embed governance and change management practices to de-risk delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• End to end design and delivery of Workday solutions across Build, Extend, Prism.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable client-centric solutions.
• Embed RSM's SDLC governance framework and establish consistent data models, UI, workflows, AI development, and integration methodologies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on Workday development (or 4+ years Workday ecosystem)
• 5+ years of software development experience including Web apps.
• Strong grasp of Workday data model, security, business processes, custom objects/orgs, calculated fields, and reports/RaaS.
• Demonstrated delivery of production apps (portfolio or walkthroughs at interview).
• Proficiency with REST APIs and Workday Integration patterns (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, peer reviews, and test strategies.
• Experience training or mentoring developers/analysts, ability to produce clear enablement assets.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Whole platform domain exposure including FIN/HCM/Payroll/Security -e.g., approvals, exceptions, vendor onboarding, expense governance, journals, controls, agentic AI and machine learning, lifecycle.
• Experience in AI product development.
• Familiarity with Workday BIRT, Workday Reporting (advanced), Time Tracking.
• Scripting experience (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python) for tooling and documentation automation.
• Knowledge of privacy & compliance (GDPR, SOX, ISO27001) and secure coding practices.

Education & Certifications

• Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Workday certifications (HCM/FINS/Integrations/Reporting/Extend/Build/Prism) strongly preferred.
• Accounting qualification or relevant experience.
