Job summary

Harlow College is seeking a proactive Work Placement Officer to join the Stansted Airport College site. You will source placements, grow employer relationships, and promote the benefits of industry placements to learners and partners.

Working with staff and students, you will maintain records in the placement software and drive inclusive opportunities, with training and development support and a pro-active, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of engaging and developing relationships with employers, clients or customers.
• Experience in a customer service or client-centred environment with excellent telephone skills.
• Level 2 in English & Maths or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with willingness to forge new contacts.
• Experience using technology and openness to learning new tech.
• Ability to problem-solve and manage changing priorities with deadlines.
• Safeguarding Level 2 qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience or knowledge of the aviation industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Source work experience and industry placements for students.
• Cultivate new employer and industry contacts and nurture existing partnerships.
• Articulate benefits of work and industry placements to learners and employers.
• Maintain accurate records using the college's work placement software platform.
