Job summary

Blackburn College coordinates and monitors work placements across the 16-19 study programme within the Early Years curriculum. You will liaise with employers to develop opportunities and support quality assurance processes.

You will monitor and assess learners on work placements, including T levels and Early Years license to practice qualifications, while organising visits and handling administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification and literacy/numeracy level 2.
• A1/TAQA Assessor qualification or willingness to achieve within 1 year.
• Health and Safety qualification or willingness to achieve within 1 year.
• Ability to organise timetable of visits and admin duties; proficient in MS Office/Outlook; driving to appointments across Lancashire.

Responsibilities

Job description

You will be required to coordinate and monitor work placements across the 16-19 study programme within the Early Years curriculum. You will liaise with employers to find and develop work placement opportunities and support the quality assurance processes. You will monitor and assess learners on work placement, assessing competencies on T levels and other Early Years license to practice qualifications. This is a term time only role (38 weeks per year and 29.6 hours per week).

You must have a Level 3 or above Early Years Qualification and a minimum of level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy. You should also have a A1/TAQA Assessor Qualification or equivalent or be willing to achieve within one year. In addition, you will have relevant Health and Safety Qualification or be willing to achieve within 1 year. You have strong experience in early years education or child development and align with the national standards. You must have the ability to organise and implement a timetable of visits and administrative duties and be adept at using Microsoft Office/Outlook. You should also have access to a vehicle and ability/willingness to drive to appointments anywhere in Lancashire.
