Job summary

Dumfries & Galloway College is seeking a Work based Assessor – Adult Social Care to join the Skills Delivery Team in Dumfries. The role starts on campus and will move to a hybrid arrangement once fully qualified, offering a full-time permanent position with an annual salary of £31,760–£34,196.

Applicants should have experience in adult social care and hold at least SCQF Level 7, with training and certification provided for the assessor role.

Qualifications

• Relevant Qualification at a minimum of SCQF Level 7
• Experience of working in relevant social care role is essential.
• Experience as a work-based Assessor desirable.
• Excellent time management and planning skills are required to manage a portfolio of candidates.
• Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
• Good/ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using MS Office is required to be able to use College systems and online portfolios.
• Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including experience using MS Office and any job-specific software/systems
• Adaptability to evolving digital opportunities and willingness to continuously improve digital competencies.
• Full UK driving licence.

The post is required to be on campus whilst training and then hybrid would be considered once fully qualified.

We’re looking for Social Care Assessors to join our Skills Delivery Team. Assessors will deliver from the following range of qualifications, depending on experience and relevant qualifications:

• Social Services Adult Health & Social Care – SCQF Levels 7 & 9

Who we’re looking for?
