Job summary

Oadby Plastics, based in Leicestershire, is hiring a Machine Operator to join the Semi Finished team. You will set and operate our Beam, Panel, Band and Upcut Saws and ensure safety and quality throughout the process.

The role involves producing our standard PrepPro chopping boards, supporting the team to hit KPI targets, and completing daily quality checks. Competitive hourly rate and benefits apply, with early and late shifts as outlined.

Qualifications

• Good English, Maths and IT skills.
• Self-manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with colleagues.
• Experience with woodworking machinery (Beam/Panel Saws, Thicknessers) desired but not essential.
• FLT licence would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate our Beam, Panel, Band & Upcut Saws and Thicknessers.
• Machining duties to produce the standard PrepPro chopping boards.
• Contribute to team performance towards KPI targets.
• Follow company processes for right first time output.
• Complete reporting and quality checks and daily safety checks.
• Mentor new team members to achieve maximum efficiencies.
