Job summary

The Recruitment Group in Loughborough is seeking a Saw Machinist who is enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking. You will operate and set up woodworking machinery, including table saws, mitre saws and bandsaws, cutting plastic and wood to specification.

The role offers a pay rate of £12.71–£12.85 per hour with enhanced overtime rates, and shifts from Monday to Thursday 7:45–16:30 and Friday 7:45–15:15. Overtime is available by discussion.

Qualifications

• Experience operating woodworking machinery and equipment.
• Practical Health & Safety knowledge and SOPs.
• A keen eye for detail and ability to identify out of spec components.
• Competent in maths with fluent English (spoken and written).
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up woodworking machinery.
• Use table saws, mitre saws and bandsaws to cut plastic and wood.
• Maintain quality by checking components against specifications.

Requirements and Skills

• Previous experience working with woodworking machinery
• Posses practical Health & Safety knowledge an stadard operating procedures
• A keen eye for detail and ability to quickly identify any components out of specification
• Competent in Maths and fluent in speaking and reading English
• Have a positive, can-do attitude
• Willingness to continuously learn, keep up to date with new procedures and desire to share skills and knowledge.
