Centric Talent is recruiting a Beam Saw Operator for a Halifax-based panel processing and furniture manufacturer. This full‑time, permanent role requires experience with beam saws and a commitment to quality and efficiency.

You will operate an SCM beam saw, read cutting lists, optimise patterns and handle materials safely within a two‑person team, ensuring accurate panels with minimal waste. Delegated maintenance and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a beam saw.
• Experience with SCM beam saw is preferred.
• Ability to read cutting lists and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate an SCM beam saw to produce panels from MFC, MDF, chipboard, plywood and laminated boards.
• Read and work from cutting lists, optimisation patterns and technical drawings.
• Load and unload sheet materials safely.
• Check dimensions, squareness and finish quality of panels.
• Label and stack cut components for next production stage.
• Carry out daily machine checks and basic maintenance.
• Report faults and material shortages to the Production Supervisor.
• Follow health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.
