Job summary

Bath College is seeking an Unqualified or Qualified Lecturer to deliver high-quality wood occupation apprenticeship programmes, including classroom and workshop theory and practical teaching. You will assess apprentices onsite at employer sites and manage end-point assessment criteria to Merit or Distinction standards.

Join Bath College to lead a caseload of workplace-based apprentices, ensuring completion rates meet College targets and supporting learners from entry to Level 5 programmes.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths at Grade C or above.
• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in carpentry/joinery.
• TAQA Assessor Award in training and assessment.
• L5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Provide induction, assessment, training, coaching and teaching to apprentices.
• Teach, assess and support apprentices at college and workplace.
• Deal with queries while supervising apprentices.
• Participate in promotional and marketing activities for the college.
• Undertake initial assessment and assist in action planning for apprentices.
