Bath College is seeking a lecturer to deliver wood occupation apprenticeships, combining classroom and workshop theory with practical teaching. You will also conduct onsite employer-based assessments and reviews for apprentices in architectural joinery and site carpentry.
You will manage a caseload of workplace-based learners, ensuring their progress and achieving Bath College targets for apprenticeship outcomes across a 37-hour week year-round contract.
Key purpose: To work with the Apprenticeship Manager to deliver a high-quality wood occupation apprenticeship programme including classroom and workshop theory and practical teaching. As well onsite (employer based) assessment and reviews in both architectural Joinery and Site Carpentry to all apprentices, that meets Bath College quality expectations, that prepares apprentices in both knowledge, skills and behaviours that meet the needs of the industry, the Apprenticeship Institute and End-Point Assessment criteria to a merit or distinction standard.
Manage, review, assess and train a caseload of apprentices who are based in the workplace and are currently undertaking Apprenticeships. To ensure that the success rates of apprentices are at or above the level set by the College.
