Job summary

Bath College is seeking an Unqualified/Qualified Lecturer to deliver high-quality wood occupation apprenticeships, including classroom and workshop theory and practical teaching, on-site employer-based assessments, and reviews to meet industry standards.

The role involves managing a caseload of workplace-based apprentices, ensuring apprenticeship success rates meet college targets, and contributing to ongoing development and TAQA requirements.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (Grade C or above).
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in carpentry/joinery.
• TAQA Assessor Award commitment within 12 months.
• L5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide induction, assessment, training, coaching, teaching and assessment to apprentices on college and workplace programmes.
• Teach, assess, support, advise and assist apprentices during training.
• Deal with queries when supervising apprentices.
• Participate in the promotional and marketing aspects of the college.
• Undertake initial assessment of apprentices and assist in action planning.
