Job Overview

We are working with a great brand who are looking for a multi-product womenswear designer on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Design, Digital, Fabric and the supply base, you'll need to draw on your solid understanding of the various fitting and manufacturing processes and costings.
  • Supporting the Head of category to achieve KPIs, including right first‑time sealing hit rate.
  • Working with the Design/ Buying team to get a 'right first time' sample and improve sealing hit rate.
  • Taking ownership of the fit and sealing process.
  • Risk assessing product quality standards and production issues including safety, wearer trials, performance, minimum make standards and potential production issues.
  • Using lessons learnt, benchmarking through comparative shopping, working collaboratively with digital teams, Fabric and suppliers to make sure Quality Standards are maintained.
  • Analysing quality issues and customer returns within your department, putting corrective action plans and workable timeframes in place.
  • Ensuring that the correct block and fabric reference is selected during Design Brief stage prior to being sent to supplier.
  • Delivering Supplier Self Gold Seal status to ensure suppliers meet criteria for Self‑Approval.
  • Responding to Customer complaints and queries.
  • Keeping up to date with industry innovations, networking internally and externally to identify opportunities.
