Job summary

Zero Surplus in Basildon, Essex is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join our production team to build complex control boards from detailed documentation.

You will read wiring diagrams, assemble enclosures, and perform point-to-point wiring with a strong focus on quality and safety. A stable, long-term role with modern facilities and a supportive team awaits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or similar manufacturing roles.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble control boards and enclosures using a variety of components
• Carry out point-to-point wiring, including preparation, routing, and termination of cables
• Ensure high standards of cable management and overall presentation
• Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and parts lists
• Inspect and test assemblies to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Use a range of hand and power tools safely

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Hours: 39 hours per week, flexible start between 7:00am - 9:00am (early finish on Fridays)
