We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Panel Wireman to join a busy and growing manufacturing team based in Redditch. This is a full-time position offering stable hours and competitive pay.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and wiring electrical control panels to customer specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards at all times.
Interpret CAD schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel drawings
Build and wire BMS and power panels
Install wiring and associated electrical components
Identify and report faults in wiring systems
Inspect and test panels prior to dispatch
Use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and measuring instruments safely and effectively
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations
Liaise with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth workflow
Support and guide apprentices or junior team members where required
Pack completed panels safely for delivery
Occasional site visits may be required
2–3 years’ practical experience as an Electrical Panel Wireman or similar
OR
Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or relevant vocational qualification (CSCS accreditation advantageous)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit diagrams
Knowledge of single and three-phase systems
Understanding of cable sizing, protective devices, and electrical components
Competent in using electrical test equipment
Strong understanding of installation practices and regulations
Confident with numbers and measurements
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Well organised with good attention to detail
Full clean driving licence preferred
