Job summary

Zero Surplus is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to join its stable Basildon production team. You’ll build and wire complex control boards and assemblies, following detailed technical documentation and strict quality standards.

Working on-site in Basildon, you’ll perform point-to-point wiring, cable preparation and termination, and test assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. A good eye for detail and manual dexterity are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or similar manufacturing roles.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience working with electrical components and control systems.
• Good manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble control boards and enclosures using a variety of components.
• Carry out point-to-point wiring, including preparation, routing, and termination of cables.
• Ensure high standards of cable management and overall presentation.
• Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.
• Inspect and test assemblies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Use a range of hand and power tools safely.

Salary: 45,000 - 50,000
Hours: 39 hours per week, flexible start between 7:00am - 9:00am (early finish on Fridays)
