Job summary

Prime Appointments is seeking a skilled Control Panel Wire Person / Panel Builder for a permanent role in Witham, Essex. You will build and wire electrical control panels from engineering drawings and assemble relay panels and equipment racks.

Based in a manufacturing environment, you will use hand tools, read drawings, and work to quality and safety standards. Training and career development are available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand tools within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Control panel wiring or electrical assembly experience is beneficial.
• Ability to lift and move heavy components safely.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring looms, cable assemblies and relays.
• Carry out mechanical fitting using hand and power tools; ensure quality and safety standards.

Control Panel Wire Person / Panel Builder

Location: Witham, Essex

Salary: £26,000 - £34,000 DOE

Are you an experienced Control Panel Wire Person, Panel Builder or Control Panel Wirer looking for a permanent role with a well-established electrical engineering manufacturer?

Based in Witham, this growing company designs and manufactures bespoke electrical control panels, relay panels and equipment racks for the electricity supply industry and other industrial sectors across the UK and overseas. Whether you already have control panel wiring experience or are looking to develop your skills, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team with full training available.

What's on offer

• Salary of £26,000 - £34,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm
• 20 days' holiday, increasing to 25 days with service, plus bank holidays

The role

About you

• Previous experience as a Control Panel Wire Person, Panel Builder, Control Panel Wirer, Electrical Assembler or similar would be advantageous
• Ability to read engineering drawings is desirable
• Experience using hand tools within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Control panel wiring, cable assembly or electrical assembly experience is beneficial
• Practical, reliable and keen to develop new skills
• Able to lift and move heavy components safely
