Job summary

Rullion Managed Services is seeking an experienced Panel Wireman to join a busy manufacturing team supporting projects in the Electricity Transmission sector. You will read engineering drawings, assemble wiring per BOMs, and deliver quality wiring work to customers’ specifications.

The role requires completing an apprenticeship in Panel Wiring or equivalent, with the ability to work from schematics and maintain strict quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship in Panel Wiring or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experienced in preparing, crimping, terminating and looming wiring assemblies.
• Able to identify drawing discrepancies and communicate them effectively.
• Good understanding of wiring best practices and quality standards.
• Ability to follow test documentation and basic testing procedures.
• Experience with fault finding and resolving wiring-related issues.
• Proven ability to work to demanding deadlines whilst maintaining quality.
• Experience working with tri-rated cables ranging from 0.5mm to 6mm.

Responsibilities

• Wire electrical assemblies in accordance with schematic drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Fit and assemble components using Bills of Materials (BOMs), equipment lists, general arrangement drawings, schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare, crimp, terminate and loom wires and cables to specification.
• Complete all wiring activities in line with customer requirements and quality standards.
• Accurately record time bookings against assigned tasks.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report any issues, defects or drawing discrepancies to supervision promptly.
• Deliver work to the required quality standards within agreed timescales.

Location: Hebburn
Rate: 18.00 - 21.00 per hour PAYE (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern (Days):

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm

About the Role
