The Role: Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles on winter maintenance duties. Operating gritters and snow ploughs during adverse weather. Fitting gritter bodies and snow plough blades and spreading salt when required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with LGV Class 2 entitlement.
• Previous winter maintenance or roadworking experience is desirable, but full training can be provided.
• Flexible approach to shifts, standby and night working.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles on winter maintenance duties.
• Operating gritters and snow ploughs during adverse weather.
• Fitting gritter bodies and snow plough blades and spreading salt when required.
• Working a flexible rota including night shifts, standby and weather-dependent overtime.
• Working outdoors in challenging weather conditions while following health & safety procedures.
