Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is recruiting Winter Patrol Drivers for seasonal roles across Scotland to support winter road maintenance. You will drive HGV Class 2 vehicles, operate gritters and snow ploughs, fitting gritter bodies and spreading salt as needed.

The role includes night shifts, standby and overtime on a flexible rota, outdoors in challenging weather while following strict health & safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with LGV Class 2 entitlement.
• Flexible approach to shifts, standby and night working.
• Willingness to work outdoors in challenging conditions with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles on winter maintenance duties.
• Operating gritters and snow ploughs during adverse weather.
• Fitting gritter bodies and snow plough blades and spreading salt when required.

Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting Winter Patrol Drivers for seasonal positions across Scotland, supporting winter road maintenance operations throughout the colder months.

40 Hours 4 x on 4 x of - Overtime available.

The Role:

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles on winter maintenance duties.
• Operating gritters and snow ploughs during adverse weather.
• Fitting gritter bodies and snow plough blades and spreading salt when required.
• Working a flexible rota including night shifts, standby and weather-dependent overtime.
• Working outdoors in challenging weather conditions while following strict health & safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence with LGV Class 2 (Category C) entitlement.
• Previous winter maintenance or roadworking experience is desirable, but full training can be provided.
• Flexible approach to shifts, standby and night working.

These are fixed-term seasonal positions, with potential opportunities for further seasonal work or longer-term employment for candidates who demonstrate commitment and reliability.
